The lightest class of helicopter available, it is best characterised by its agile and responsive behaviour. The helicopter typically seats four to five people; a pilot and copilot in the front and either two or three passengers in the back.
Throughout its lifespan this range of helicopter has undergone various revisions. Some featured an additional main rotor blade, bringing the total to five. Other differences included increased engine power and anti-torque systems.

Aside from being used as an unarmed observation helicopter, the light helicopter also comes equipped with various weapons systems. This model has two multi-barrel and high rate of fire machine guns mounted on small wings. Aside from these, pilots have access to two unguided rocket pods.
To aid target tracking and night operations, the helicopter has an exterior Forward-Looking InfraRed (FLIR) dome mounted. The flight crew can find and track thermal signatures from within the cockpit.
